Lyle's Golden Syrup

Not everybody is familiar with the great sweet taste of Lyles Golden Syrup, well at least not everybody in America. It works perfectly as both a spread and as an ingredient in a huge array of baking recipes and desserts.

Lyles Golden Syrup is easily recognized by its iconic metal tin, which has remained unchanged since its introduction in 1885. The imagery on the tin makes reference to the biblical story of Sampson and the Lion – ‘Out of the strong came forth sweetness.’

Golden syrup is a thick, orangey syrup, which is derived from a type of sugar syrup.
